After setting the boxoffice on fire with Athadu, this exciting lead pair is getting back for yet another film. Mahesh and Trisha will play the lead for Vyjayanthi Films titled Sainikudu.

Gunasekhar will direct this film. Film will commence on 12th October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami with pooja. Regular shooting will start in November. Meanwhile Mahesh's Pokiri in the direction of Puri Jagannath will start regular shooting from this 20th.

Mahesh got to hear the storyline during the making of Arjun itself. Producer and hero duo felt that megaproducer Aswini Dutt is the apt producer and things fell in place. Mahesh made his big entry as hero with Aswini Dutt's production Rakumarudu. This is the second film.

Harris Jayaraj will compose music for this film. Though Harris Jayaraj's composed to music to 2 Telugu films before, this is the first film for a Telugu director. Music sittings will take place in Dubai for about a week.

At present Vyjayanthi films banner is busy with Megastar Chiranjeevi's Jai Chiranjeeva. Jai Chiranjeeva is slated to release on 14th of Dec. After Jai Chiranjeeva it will be Sainikudu from this prestigious banner.

Dialogues will be penned by Paruchuri. Sekhar Joseph will handle the camera and editing will be done by Srikar Prasad. Producer is Aswini Dutt. Story, Screenplay and direction will be provided by Gunasekhar.

Sainikudu Audio Release on 21st of October 2006

Audio of Sainikudu is released at global scale.

Sainikudu is the first movie which had an Audio release function Globally. It is an evidence to show Telugu Films and Telugu industry on wide growth when compared to any other national movies.

Audio was released at 7:30 AM IST and other locations where the audio event took place was in NJ, San Francisco, LA, Detroit, Dubai, Sydney, Chennai, Mumbai.

In NJ, Karunya anchored the event. Rayapati Sambasiva Rao (Senior MP from Guntur) and Dr. Jagga Rao attended the event as chief guests. They released the audio CDs and gave the copies to Karunya, Vasu (KAD), Ashok (KAD), Sunil (Movie City partner), Ranjan (businessman and socialist).

Karunya thanked one and all for giving him this opportunity. He thanked the audience for their continuous support. He sang Orugalluke Pilla from Sainikudu which he sang for the film. Rayapati Sambasiva Rao also spoke on this occassion and he wished the distributors all good luck.

Dr. Jagga Rao also spoke and said that he rarely watches films but since his daughter is a big fan of Mahesh Babu, he had to see Pokiri twice and he expected the same would happen with Sainikudu too. Karunya was requested to sing another song by the audience and he picked another of Mahesh Babu's song and sang a stanza from Pokiri.
