Hi,

I have found two good phpBB templates

Forum template change to xand. We need to finialise on one template as we need to MOD it as required.

The HIDE MODE suggested by Guttu will be installed in few days on this new Template. Hope everyone love this new forum skin.

template looks great . But some suggestions

First thing I miss is Quick reply mod. Its a must have. I cant wait for the post editor to load Rolling Eyes

Second the top and bottom bizhat banners should be similar to the template
just change the background of that banner to gray and font to orange
or something similar, SO that it will look like part of template

The hide mod is great. Yesterday I tried that mod and works great. It would have been good if the moderators could see the content without replying to the topic. Currently searching for that thing

First to appreciate that there has been something done to have this place look great.

I appreciate the ones who worked on it to have this look the way it is.

Now comes the feedback...

1) This color really hits our eyes. Blue was pleasant and we now miss that trade mark color of bizhat. And with this color, the some of the titles are not visible clearly.

2) It is really sad to miss the "Quick reply" part of it... on the thread view page.

3) The colored box that prefix each thread to show if it is an old post or a new one, seems confusing. The old one was really good. Sticky, announcement, new post, or old posts... were all easier to make out earlier, but not now.

4) Somehow I dont like seeing too many orange color on the page.

5) I liked the old template very much and felt like being a t home when seeing such page template. But now I feel I am somewhere in another planet and I can't believe that I am surfing bizhat site.

6) Last but not the least. I dont see it so user friendly.

Guttu, I made the change in header and footer.

Adding the Quick Reply MOD to the template now.

darsh, i too love the default subSilver Smile

I changed template back to OLD, but now have the option for xand if any one like in their profile.

Also, its better we keep one template for all users. That way we cam do MOD, with multiple templates, we have to keep both moded, this is extra work. Also there is no guarantee that the template will get updated with new version of phpBB released.

The problem with having several template is we need to keep all them MODED for the MOD's we install.

For example, now, we need to MOD for the BAN mod and QUICK Reply MOD.

If we have only one template, it is easy to maintain. For most, subSilver will be ok.

Now we need the HIDE mod installed, keeping both templates MODED is double work. Also when we need to upgrade phpBB.

I will try to add the HIDE mod today.

Thanks much Nokia. It is pleasure see it in its original color. I love this template.

Now I feel like I am home. Thanks for valuing my feedback. And making changes on that too. Will test it out and post more later...
