WHAT YOU THINK THAT A MODERATOR MUST DO WHEN A SPAM IS FOUND..I HAVE MY OWN VIEWS ,, PARTICIPATE IN THIS DISCUSSION..I WANT TO KNOW PEOPLE MENTALITY AND THEIR VIEW OF ADMIRING OTHERS...

NO SPAM MSG HERE...

hmm, i think i'll get them a warning first. 3 chances for the limit, after that they still do it boot them out of the forum.

i hate spam... ithink the post should be deleted instantly. the member should be warned twice with suspensions of 3 days the first time thena week the second time. and then on the third they should have an ip ban put on them from the forum.

First give a warning (Send PM, so that he/she definetly reads it) and if it is done 2nd time, then ban for a month, if done 3rd time, then ban forever...

Warning and delete the annoying posts. Just let them know you deleted the pointless posts and that if they continue to spam that they will be banned. Number of warnings should be lessened or greatened depending on the severity of the spam... for instance... if they posted the same thing 20 times in the same topic... That should result it in permanent IP ban.

Now if they just spammed something twice... coulda been lag. Just a warning for that is enough, no biggie.

Yup, warn them first. maybe they dont know what's wrong. Tell them what's wrong and tell them to read the rules. If that person repeats for the third time, just ban them.

Well if you didn't notic there is a Spam ? Report to Admin link at the botom right corner, so you can realy get involved and help admins get rid of spamers.

I agree with Tcmag warning and delete the spam and when I signed up it clearly states not to do it so if it was intentional I think banning is appropriate

My own view with spammers is that their posts should be deleted instantly. if for eg a spammer gives a link for other forum, u will ban him. But his sole purpose of advertising his forum gets carried on bcos we continuously see the topic.

It is bad to see Spammers posting useless replies and simply quoting others.

Give a warning once or max twice. Then chuck them out of the forum.
